A toast to…burning out.
I came to game dev the long way. I had a real job, then I had a worse one, then I burnt out, then I started making small arcade games at night. That part hasn’t really stopped.
The games I make tend to be short, a little grim, and built around one weird idea I couldn’t let go of. I’d rather ship something strange than something safe, and I’d rather finish a small thing than not finish a big one. Most of what I learn, I learn by overcooking it first.
I work alone, mostly out of stubbornness. ToastArcade is the name on the box because putting my own name on it felt like too much.
